What’s the Deal with Buzz Bait Taqueria?

What do deep dish pizza and fish tacos have in common?

Well, for starters, they’re both delicious. But more importantly, Marc Malnati opened a fish taco joint called Buzz Bait Taqueria!

Buzz Bait Taqueria was inspired by Marc Malnati’s time spent looking for the perfect fish taco. He found it up the Pacific coast from Newport Beach, California while vacationing and was never able to find another taco that topped that experience. While others might just settle for a lesser fish taco, Marc decided to turn his search into a new project. He started developing recipes with the Lou Malnati’s food team, who were excited to flex their culinary skills. His goal? Take real food and raise it to an inspiring level.

Marc says the style of the food at Buzz Bait Taqueria can be described as “sushi quality, deep dish fun.” With tacos like a BBQ glazed salmon topped with bourbon bacon, a sweet and spicy ahi tuna poke that’s as beautiful as it is delicious, and a Sapporo battered Alaskan cod, to name a few, Buzz Bait is doing fish tacos better than anyone in Chicago!

And guess what? The critics agree! Buzz Bait Taqueria topped Chicago Magazine’s November Hotlist as the #1 place everyone is talking about and dining at! Penny Pollack of What Penny Eatssaid,“Yowza! Marc Malnati, of deep-dish fame nailed blackened-mahi tacos on his first try.” We wholeheartedly agree, he sure did!
